Each summer, the roads of Ireland hum to the sound of Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Harley Davidson, Moto Guzzi and a host of other two and four-stroke engines roaring their way across the country on two wheels – as groups of bikers take to the highways and byways in search of adventure.  

Whether you’re looking for twisty tarmac roads to carry you through the old country, coastal routes that are lost in time or gravel lanes in the middle of nowhere - Ireland offers a unique and memorable experience for novice and experienced rider alike. 

Why not join me, as I take a tour of the country I call home, visiting towns and villages, castles and old ruins, and chatting with the locals - all the while riding my old BMW r850gs off the beaten track!

At the end of 2021, after working in the health service for the last three decades, I decided to take a year (or two, perhaps three..) out of the rat race and travel all over Ireland while I still could... so (weather, health, and politics permitting) why not follow along and see where fate takes me... and as they say in all those old movies "Let the show begin!"
